In 2013, after completing her graduation, Sanya came to Mumbai to participate in Zee TV’s dance reality show “Dance India Dance“, but passed beyond the top 100. Later on, failing in “Dance India Dance”, Sanya stayed in Mumbai to try her luck in acting and started doing different commercials.

Sanya Malhotra earned fame with the biggest Bollywood blockbuster hit of 2016, “Dangal“, where she acted in the role of “Babita Kumari Phogat“, daughter of “Mahavir Singh Phogat“. “Babita Kumari Phogat” was the one who had won a gold medal in the 2014 “Commonwealth Games”.
