Aamir Khan is busy with the promotions of Laal Singh Chaddha. Starring Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh, the film has been the talk of the town since it is the Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood movie, Forrest Gump. While this project has been 14 years in the making, another dream project that Khan wants to do is Mahabharat. For years, there have been rumors that he wanted to attempt the movie but there were reports stating that he may have put it on the back burner. Now, he has spoken about why he hasn’t yet kicked off Mahabharat.

In an interview, when asked about his dream project, Mahabharat as everyone is making larger-than-life movies in current times, Aamir Khan said, “When you’re making Mahabharat, you’re not making a film, you’re doing a Yagna. It’s not a film, it’s much deeper than that. So I’m not ready for that. I’m afraid to bring it out to the fore. Mahabharat will never let you down, you might let it down.”

Aamir also talked about his failures and how it has been a learning curve for him. He said, “I give a lot of thought to what went wrong. See a film that doesn’t work, is an opportunity. You learn exactly where it’s gone wrong. Wherever I am today, is because of my failure and not my success. I hold my failures close to my heart because those are the ones have struggled with the most. But they teach you a lot. So I value my failures a lot.”

Laal Singh Chaddha, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkineni. The film will be released on 11th August 2022.
